Okay, so you may be thinking. Why? Whhhyyy?
Well. One simple reason. Contrast.
I don't know if this is just me or if this is a general thing. Personally, I get my mouse cursor lost quite a lot. some of you may be even more weirded out by now... 😅
Especially when a lot is going on this is a bit of a problem. One solution to this problem would be to increase the cursor size. While this would be something that could be adjusted, this feels a bit wrong.
- First, the cursor size is well-adjusted for all of the different UI elements. If we increase that size, element targeting can get more difficult.
- Then, this also requires an adjustment, which wouldn't be better for an inferior solution.
So, what is the solution then? The P I N K cursor. ✨
Think about it. The cursor stays the same size, so you don't have any problems with that. Pink is also a rare-enough color, so it always has a somewhat high contrast with everything on your background.
Yes. There is an "inversion" setting. But it's shit. Try it. I dare you.
Yeah... You could use a not so "attention-grabbing" color, like bright green for example. But that would be boring, and what would be life without some pink flair? 🤔
Funnily enough, I could convince some people to the Evangelion of the pink mouse cursor and they haven't looked back.
So yeah... Try it out and thank me later.
See ya
